The Helm of Awe I wore

before the sons of men

in defense of my treasure;

Amongst all, I alone was strong,

I thought to myself

I didn't find power to match me.”

Wil swallowed.

“Thank you. And…”

“You are welcome. But that is not all. Wait a few minutes.” Tara turned toward an open door and disappeared for a moment. Then she came back with a horse saddle.

“Ah. Well… I needed a saddle,” said Wil.

“It's not any saddle.”

“A magic saddle?”

“No. But it will be quite comfortable both for you and your horse.”

“Okay, thanks,” said Wil. “And what do you think I should do. Is there any strategy you recommend for...?”

“Do I look like a strategist? I am not the one wielding a sword and a shield.”

“But... Me neither. I mean. I’m not a strategist. By Perkunas, this will be intense. Do you expect me to go to Siwelzac Castle and fight them all?”

“You are smarter than that.”

“Then... I guess...”

“What do you think?” Tara winked again.

“I guess I have to find someone to help me... But who? Do you know anyone who would help me?”

“Very good,” Tara said. “Do you have any idea where to look?”

“I don't know, and you’re answering my questions with more questions” he shook his head. “I don’t know anyone. And what about Van Preussen? Do you know where he is?”

“I don’t know.”

“Then...” Wil clenched his teeth.

“Well, now that I think about it, I can give you a place: Elkas.”

Wil raised an eyebrow.

“Elkas?”

“Yes. Elkas.” She answered.

“Where is it?”

“In Lechia.”

Wil sighed.

“Lechia? I can't waste time!”

“You can look closer.”

Wil touched his chin.

“Give me a name, at least. You can’t just pick a random Lechian village and send me miles away just to ask people to kill a government official.”

“I can't know everything.”

“Come on. What’s wrong with telling me? If you know the town you know the name.”

“Okay... One name. Ola Kotowska.”

“Ola? A girl?”

“A girl.”

“Will she help me?”

“Maybe,” Tara declared, returning with two vessels she handed to both.

“Thank you,” they said in unison. Wil turned and noticed that Sura was smiling. More than that, she looked cheerful, and her eyes shone as if she was finally understanding the meaning of life.
